I used to think that the world we live in is so big, but then after an interesting coincidence, I found my assumption was very wrong. This summer, I was in Osaka, Japan. The second day that I was there, we didn’t plan to do anything, so we just went to Shinsaibashi. Shinsaibashi is the most famous place in Osaka. How so? It’s a long commercial street that consists of many streets. You can find everything here and that’s the reason why tourists always like to go there. Every night, you can see tons of people there, both local people and foreigners. That night, after my family finished dinner, we were taking a walk on Shinsabashi. It’s a very busy street at night, always full of people. Anyways, when we were walking, suddenly, I ran into someone. I was just about to say sorry in Japanese to that person, but when I look at her, I was shocked. She was my neighbor in Shanghai. The most surprise thing was that, we barely see each other in the neighborhood even though there are only two houses between where we live, but we saw each other at Shinsaibashi, in Japan, a country lies across the Ocean with China. We were greeting on that crowded Japanese street and surrounded by all the other Japanese. That was definitely a unique experience. Not many people will meet such thing. This coincidence has made me realize that the world is actually very small and fills with great possibilities that would surprise you.
